Biography

Ayman is Professor of Building Physics at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen, Germany, and Head of the Building Physics Laboratory. He also leads the Department of Building Physics and Acoustics at DAW SE. His research focuses on climate-responsive design, energy- and resource-efficient construction, sustainable materials, hygrothermal performance, building simulation, monitoring, and digitalization in construction.
He studied Architecture, holds a Diploma in Building Physics, and earned his doctorate at TU Dresden, Germany (magna cum laude). Before joining HAWK, he worked in academia, industry, and practice, including at the Institute of Building Climatology at TU Dresden, where he led interdisciplinary research on energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.
He is active in national and international standardization and research committees, collaborates with European univ and research institutes, and serves as reviewer for international conferences and scientific journals in building physics, energy efficiency, and sustainable construction.
